Re: Going off range?

Just encountered my second dealership this week who isn't selling new Rocs. What is happening? Is this to do with VW's problems?

Going off range?

Just asking.....trying to update my Scirocco so have been trawling the dealerships. Has anyone had any gossip about the Rocs being taken off range by VW? One dealership said they personally have stopped selling new ones as "they are a niche market and don't sell well" and quite frankly apa...

Re: Warranty success of research!

Bunny-Jen. have you thought about contacting VW UK (customer services) directly? When I had a steering problem with my Ford at 36K miles and out of warranty, and got no joy with the Dealer, I contacted Head Office and they agreed to pay 60% as a good will gesture. Both VW and Audi are pretty good ab...

Your views needed......

I own a 15 month old 1.4 TSI Roc, which I love. It's a pleasure to drive, but I do miss some of the 'toys' I had on my previous car . I now have the opportunity to buy a new 2.00 TSI GT which is sitting in the dealer's compound, and I was wondering what views you all have on the new Roc and if it's ...

Re: Dashboard lights

Moulin12 - thank you VERY much, especially the links - your post was REALLY helpful and I now understand the workings of the problem, and gives me a basis of knowledge to discuss matters with the garage. Still doesn't explain why I've had no problems for the past 7 months but have done so for the la...

Re: Dashboard lights

Well, the garage says nothing wrong. Apparently there is documentation from VW on this. The guy stutteringly read it out to me, - it didn't make sense, so I asked to read it for myself - this was refused! ( This is the garage that took 3 visits to discover that my A/C had double the amount of gas in...

Re: Dashboard lights

Thanks for the replies. That's what I thought, but the car has only started doing this within the last couple of weeks. It seems to be a power issue as, if I'm not accelerating, the dials go dark ,but brighten up again when I put the power back on - strange. We'll see what the garage has to say tomo...

Dashboard lights

Have I a problem with my dashboard lights, or am I being thick? The central information unit is brilliantly lit, but the speed and rev counter dials lighting fluctuates. I think they're supposed to reflect the outside lighting ie day/night, but mine are changing all the time, even if the outside lig...

Re: Air Con problems

Thanks, MarkV - good to know that what I was told is correct. The question now remains of course, how did a new car finish up with double the amount of gas in the system to what it should have, and will it have caused any lasting damage because of the increased pressure caused by too much gas? I awa...

Re: Air Con problems

Hi Just got my car back from the garage - I was so hacked off I told 'em to keep the darn thing till they mended it. Miraculously it's better. They said the fault was TOO much coolant gas, and they'd never encountered that fault before (too little yes, too much no..!!) and was probably a factory fau...

Air Con problems

I own a 1.4 TSI, registered last November. The max cooling air con hasn't been used before this warm spell of weather. Now the weather is warm, my air con is blowing lukewarm air at me when it's on max. cooling (though sometimes it doesn't!) Dealer says can't find anything wrong. There's an intermit...
