Re: side windows lower when car locked...

I don’t know if you know this, but if you push and hold the lock button on the remote keyfob then the windows drop Mine used to do what yours did, the I found out that you can operate the windows from the keyfob I guessed that the button was being pressed in my pocket by all the other crap in there...

side windows lower when car locked...

Funny one this... Should have asked here when it first happened. Not happened often though. Just a couple of times in the last eight years. First time it happened I was at my son's house. A cold and rainy day. I locked the car, went into the house. We thought we heard an alarm outside but ignored it...

Re: Windscreen Washer Fuse

Hiya Peeps :)

I thought I'd check into Scirocco Central before trying to find out why my window washer pump has stopped working, and hopefully fix.

A search brought up this post but it looks like I am on my own here... I'm hoping it's just a loose connection...

cheers

Re: 2013 Scirocco facelift

I wanted to see an earlier Scirocco in a similar pose to compare. Difficult to find the exact same view angle. This is a 2008 Scirocco:- http://www.tuningnews.net/news/080828/h-r-volkswagen-scirocco-02.jpg Yes, I think I agree, to a certain extent. It is still a nice car, but I prefer the 2008 model...

Wheel Refurbishment and Painting question

Hello again :) I am in the process of sourcing some second hand Interlagos wheels for my GT. I intend to have them spruced up (they look pretty good already, so won't take much) and also get them "painted" in gloss black. I just fancy having black wheels on my black Scirocco for some reaso...

Over 62k since October 2008, which I thought was quite high, but looking at the other posts, it looks about average.

Re: Vehicle Management System (VMS)

Thanks for the info RW1. Unfortunately, I bought my car from a dodgy dealer in Burton on Trent, and I know, from my dealings with him thus far, that he will not honour the so called 90 day mechanical warranty he has given me. Bottom line is, I've booked it in for a gear oil change on Saturday, so th...

Re: Powder coated wheels

which is like a blue/grey colour

but that can be debated ad infinitum...

Talking of powder coating. I'm thinking of powder coating my stock wheels black, to match the body colour.

Good idea? Bad? Should I have started my own topic?

Re: Vehicle Management System (VMS)

Thanks for your response sugar_W :)

I think you're right, regarding the pinch of salt. My sons friend, the one who works at VW, is going to check what records exist for my car.

It might just be safer, though, to go ahead with a gear oil change anyway. Just for peace of mind...

Vehicle Management System (VMS)

Hi peeps, Has anyone heard of Vehicle Management System (VMS)? The reason I ask, is that when I bought my GT, along with a load of receipts and stuff, there was an A4 print out, which basically looks like a history of events to do with my car. It has the VIN number, registration number, colour, and ...

I've read through all fourteen pages of this topic. If I could choose any one of the aforementioned careers, it would have to be a Pyrotechnician Unfortunately, I am a humble designer. I can't call my self an engineer, even though I do get involved in engineering tasks... I failed my HNC. My special...

Oh... well, there's around another 762 more roundabouts now then :D And they've knocked down most of the old large factories down now and built houses on the land. You wouldn't recognise the place... Re: Down shifting in DSG

Mmmm... a "blast" down the A50...

I've only really commuted in my GT up to now. It would be nice to go for a drive, just for the sake of it, which is something I would only normally have done on me bike.
