I would be putting spacers on though so the wheels are more flush with the arches
What spacers do you recommend? I have thought about this but never got round to it.

Re: How my Rocco currently looks...

Nice car! I see you have removed the back wiper. What did you do with the cleaner fluid line? :) Is it a difficult mod? Ørjan. I wouldn't say it was a difficult mod, the hardest part was removing the plastic casing to get to the wiper motor but I managed with no problems :) I fastened the fluid lin...

It's sitting on H&R springs at the moment, can't really tell from the pictures though as the ground isn't even. I really do want to go lower but then I'm concerned about practicality (Speed Bumps)

Re: How my Rocco currently looks...

Thanks for the comments. I do like the R bumper but the reason I decided to go for a custom built exhaust is because I wanted something different and built to my spec. I appreciate its not everyone's 'cup of tea' but I'm pleased with the look and sound :) I want to paint the front lower grill like m...

How my Rocco currently looks...

I thought I would share some photos of my Scirocco and how it currently stands. It's forever changing and I still have plenty of plans but funds are limited so this is how she looks at the moment. Comments welcome. http://i1107.photobucket.com/albums/h393/dadavies90/Rocco2.jpg http://i1107.photobuck...

Re: What Brake Pads?

Thanks for the reply. There are so many different makes I just don't know which to get and don't want to get some cheap ones that don't last! The usual brands keep popping up like Brembo etc?

What Brake Pads?

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice in regards to brake pads for my scirocco. I need to replace the front and back on my 2010 plate 1.4 tsi but not sure which are best? Any advice would be great. Also, a link to the best place to buy would be great? Thanks in advance.

Re: Catalytic Converter Warning Light???

I'm not to happy with that either as i believe there must be something up with it or else it wouldnt miss. The main technician took it out but like always it didnt miss during the test so as the diagnostic shown no faults also they blamed the fuel. It's always the same isnt it, when ever they take i...

Re: Catalytic Converter Warning Light???

I've tried running it on v-power and it's still the same. Had a diagnostic at vw today and they said there is no fault, just recommended using v-power fuel! Not happy with that really, must be something up with the car to be misfiring so regularly.

Re: Catalytic Converter Warning Light???

I have just checked the pipes marked in green and they appear to be ok. Connected fine and they look like new, no sign of corrosion or anything. Coming home from work tonight it didn't misfire, doesn't do it every time so really don't know what's causing it!!! Only worry is that the warranty is out ...

Re: Catalytic Converter Warning Light???

Yeah I'll defiantly stop using it and get it checked. Is there an easy way to check the n575 boost valve or does it just have to be replaced and hope for the best?

Really appreciate your help mate.

Re: Catalytic Converter Warning Light???

Thanks again for the reply. Should this come up on a diagnostic test if I get it tested again? Or is it just a matter of trial and error? Sorry I'm useless when it comes to anything like this.

Re: Catalytic Converter Warning Light???

Thanks for the reply. It seems to happen around 3500 rpm at speed. I notice it when you pull out to overtake etc, there is quite a noticeable judder. Well a few judders. Around town it seems fine, it's the minute you put your foot down it judders and feels like it doesn't want to pull. I hope this c...

Re: Catalytic Converter Warning Light???

So the diagnostic showed a faulty purge sensor which has now been replaced. This has sorted the light problem so it has cleared any error codes however since this has been fitted I have noticed the car is misfiring!!! It's a 2010 plate, does this fall under those that had common problems with this? ...

Re: Catalytic Converter Warning Light???

The car seems to be running fine, no lack of power or misfires that i am aware of. My first thoughts where the common faults with the 1.4tsi engine but had no signs of this happening. There was a smell of burning when the light turned on which is why i am reluctant to use the car until it is checked...

Catalytic Converter Warning Light???

Hi all, Just after some advice regarding my 2010 plate 1.4tsi 160 scirocco please. The orange catalytic converter warning light came on tonight, it stays on which in the user book suggests there is a problem with the catalytic converter. What could have caused this? Could a cat-back exhaust system a...

Squeaking from engine bay when pressing clutch???

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem I am experiencing with my 1.4tsi 160 scirocco. When the clutch is pressed down there is a loud squeaking noise from the engine bay, what could this be? It's done 28000 miles of that makes a difference. All comments welcome.

Thanks
