Wheel colour?

Hi,

I graunched one of my wheels (18in Interlagos) - it's so easily done on a kerb.

Has anyone tracked down the best colour match from a rattle can? Someone mentioned that Mercedes Benz brilliant silver metallic is close but not 100%.
I'd appreciate any advice (apart from 'avoid kerbs')

Bluetooth mutes tablet satnav

Hi All, Tricky one! My 2012 140GT's own satnav doesn't feature speed camera warnings. I had a Dell Streak, on which CoPilot Live worked perfectly, with such warnings. However, I've changed the tablet/phone to a Samsung Galaxy Note, and now... Samsung Satnav on, radio on, anything else on, fine. Sams...

Does anyone else recall the bullet hole transfers you put on your windows?

Here's the clincher - was it Texaco or Shell giving them out?

Gottit!  :hyper: :D On today's lovely, soggy July afternoon I drove the 12 miles or so to the dealership and collected my brand new toy. I submitted my Motability Mini (see in the background of the pic outside the showroom) and will be getting the 'good condition' bonus. Only had chance ...

Didn't know that, ta! It may be just as well, 'cos I'm keeping the 'Scirocco' badge, just keeping the weasel bit under cover.

Re: 'Roc rolling

Some pics from my self-imposed PDI at the dealer's today. It's looking good and I'm thrilled to have the black/charcoal headlining. Not sure what part of 'no badges' was misunderstood on my order but the 'Bluemotion' and '2.0 TDi' badges will be removed before I collect the car next Monday (16th). h...

Handbook download

Hello All,

My new 'roc should be available in July. Meanwhile, does anyone know of a source of a PDF or similar copy of the driver's handbook to download?

Thanks.

Re: Ordering new car on Monday

Good choice, Luke! The lads at the dealership were pushing V. Green - perhaps its an age thing! Besides, I’d already decided, I wanted a subtle colour and definitely not white (Min is Pepper White). But I realise it`s each to his/her own - my wife isn’t overkeen on truffle hide! I bet you’re champin...

Re: Ordering new car on Monday

Thanks, Buster, I reckon that the truffle trim works because a lot of the interior remains in the anthracite colour. ..I like the contrast. I’m really looking forward to my new steed. The Cooper has been great but my worsening back/leg pain means poor Min can no longer cut it on speed bumps and poth...

Re: Saddle soap

Leather, being a natural material, benefits from care, to keep it clean, supple and flexible. One of the key tasks is feeding the leather. Saddle soap cleans and feeds the leather with natural oils. I've done this with classic cars, as well as working with Connolly kits before Connolly went bust. Th...

Re: Help 1.4 tsi 160 or 2.0 TD 140??

Interesting news :D It seems that on the diesel GT (140), VW have upped the spec without the Motability advance payment having changed. So, the following are standard... Heated mirrors Electric lumbar support (not 12-way) Heated seats Leather trim Could this possibly be something going right at last...
